1-2 p.m. Session for kids! (all ages welcome!)   Book reading and interactive activities for kids, led by Ashley Larson

1-2 p.m. Session for teens and young adults!  Matthew Schultz will lead this group and discuss how to survive, thrive and grow with Spina Bifida

1-2 p.m. Session for siblings!  Siblings of kids with Spina Bifida are encouraged to Zoom in and connect with Aly Sorensen, who helped lead our last Ed Day session for siblings.

1-2 p.m. Session for adults with SB!

Keynote Presentation – Care of People with Spina Bifida
Patricia Beierwaltes will discuss the new Guidelines for Care of People with Spina Bifida, with special emphasis on how to use the guidelines and how to communicate with your providers and caregivers.

There will be time for Q & A and discussion a the conclusion of her presentation.

Who is Patricia Beierwaltes?
Patricia Beierwaltes, DPN, CPNP, is Assistant Professor of Nursing a tMinnesota State University in Mankato. She served as Co-Chair for the Guideline Steering Committee for the Spina Bifida Association where her particular expertise was used in the areas of skin and bowel management, latex and care coordination. She presented at the Spina Bifida World Congress and the 2016 SBA National Conference held in Minneapolis. She was the coordinator at a Spina Bifida Clinic for 15 years, and chaired SB education days in Detroit (before there was such a thing, she professes!)
