You can make a difference!
We’re not just an organization, we are people! People working to enhance lives, build connections and support research and prevention efforts.
Join us!
We’re building a community of support in Iowa and beyond, and we need you on our construction crew!
Whatever your area of expertise is, we can put you to work. Here’s how:
Parent Volunteers
We like to refer families who receive a new diagnosis of Spina Bifida with families who have already gone through this experience. Can you join this team and make a difference for new parents?
Event Volunteers
From handing out t-shirts to making signs, it takes all types to pull together fundraising events. You don’t have to ask for money, but if you’re good at that, we’ll take you
Walk-N-Roll is our biggest and most important event. It’s important that our families who attend have time to enjoy the event, network and celebrate. The more volunteers we have the more time they can spend with each other. Can you and your office team volunteer for three hours on a Saturday in October! It’s always a beautiful day and a lot of fun–not to mention inspiring in so many ways!
Program Volunteers
If you have expertise in a health field, we could use you on our program committee, or to speak to a group, or help us make connections in the health care community.
Board of Directors
All levels of expertise needed to lead this growing non-profit organization, specifically in the following:
- Accounting, Budgeting, Finance
- Project Management
- Marketing/Public Relations
- Social Media
- Fundraising
- Program Development
- Volunteer Recruitment
- Event Management
Kids Club
We want to create a kids club! Sometimes a child with Spina Bifida might be the only student in their school who lives with the challenges of Spina Bifida. We want to help kids be connected, accepted and supported. Kids with Spina Bifida tell us that they love to get together with their peers with Spina Bifida. Let’s help make it happen! Wanna help?
