A new Investment Option. Increased annual contribution amount. More tax savings. Lowered fees.
These are all exciting topics that will be discussed by State Treasurer Roby Smith’s IAble team and the Iowa DD Council during the upcoming webinar about IAble, a savings plan for individuals with disabilities. They will also be covering the basics like eligibility, Qualified Disability Expenses and more.
This is a great chance to learn about what’s changed with IAble and spread the word to family and friends. Invite anyone who you think could benefit from an account, or current savers who want more information on the updates! Register today for this virtual event via Zoom!

A summer week of fun and friends and new connections.
Our summer camp (and your future) is So Bright!
You will need to wear shades!
Camp So Bright is our summer camp sponsored by the Spina Bifida Association of Iowa for individuals with Spina Bifida and their families. We invite you to join us for a long weekend of fun and making lifelong connections!
We are so excited to have you back at Camp So Bright for the 4th consecutive year!! This program is one of our favorites to host and cannot wait for this year’s camp. Registrations are open!
It will be held this year from Monday, June 9th evening through Friday, June 13th, 11am. With the dates being different than they have been in the past, we realize this could be tough to do with some work weeks. You are welcome to stay the entire time or come for a few days that work best for you. We are also willing to work with parents if they want to drop their kiddo(s) off until they can join them. We will just need to know in advance!
What is Camp So Bright?
A fun summer camp like all summer camps but dedicated to those with Spina Bifida. Camp facilities and activities are accessible! Families are invited to attend together.
Who can attend?

- Adults with SB and their caregivers/family members. Special program/retreat for adults with Spina Bifida. Adults can register individually or if you are bringing a caregiver, please register as a family.
- Young adults with SB over 18 may attend without their family members, but must be able to manage their needs as independently as possible. Special accommodations can be made by request on your application.
What is planned?
Fun camp activities such as swimming, canoeing, tree climbing, rock climbing wall, zip line, train rides, escape room, nature activities hiking, tree climbing, archery, frisbee golf, arts and crafts, outdoor cooking, outdoor sleeping? (are you brave enough?), outdoor picnic, themed activities and more!
Programs: Group activities for mom, dads, siblings, kids and adults.
What are the sleeping and bathroom arrangements?
Sleeping facilities include large and small rooms with single beds. Families can stay together or break up into age groups, gender, accessibility needs etc. You can request sleeping arrangements in your application and accommodations will be made as available.
Arrangements will be made based on number of applications and requests, and suited to your needs as much as possible! Please be patient with us as we plan our second year of Camp So Bright and try to make it the best experience possible for all!
