What We Do

  • Provide resources and support for those living with Spina Bifida. Advocate for improved medical care and prevention.
  • Deliver programs that empower independence and quality of life. Raise money to support the organization
  • Focus on building community and improving quality of life

Board Member Responsibilities

  • Attend monthly board meetings (1 in person, the rest virtually). Serve on at least one committee.
  • Make a personal annual contribution of any amount (or lead a Walk-N-Roll fundraising team…or both!).
  • Actively promote SBAIA and assist with fundraising efforts.
  • Support strategic planning and oversight of programs and finances.

Ideal Candidates

  • Passionate about our mission.
  • Willing to share expertise, community connections, and time. Committed to diversity, inclusion, and collaboration.
  • Willing to commit time and energy to the organization
  • Willing to support fundraising and programing efforts monthly

Time Commitment

  • Monthly meetings + committee work. (4 hours/month or more if willing and able)
  • Participation in at least two SBAIA events annually.
